Tiddler
Tiddler by Julia Donaldson, illustrated by Axel Scheffler, tells the story of a small fish with a very big imagination. Every day, Tiddler arrives late for school and explains his lateness by telling his teacher an extraordinary story. He claims that he has ridden a seahorse, met a mermaid, and experienced other amazing adventures under the sea. His classmates and teacher find his stories difficult to believe. However, one day, Tiddler really is caught in a fishing net, and the events that follow lead to an unexpected outcome. Written in playful rhymes and accompanied by colourful illustrations, the book explores imagination, storytelling, and the difference between making up stories and telling the truth.
